Linux on a Treo 650

Recently a batch of second-hand Treo 650s became available at good prices. They were all snapped up quickly and there is a waiting list if we ever get more. Shortly after the 650 was released there was a flurry of activity to get linux running on this hardware. Open Embedded certainly boots easily enough with cocoboot and runs nicely from an SD card but as there is no (apparent) support for the phone or bluetooth, its not much use as a personal communication device. Nice PDA though.

There is definite progress on this but in true Open Source tradition, this looks like an itch we may need to scratch ourselves or at least try to support the work that is going on.

As a humble start to this, here is a list of vaguely relevant links.
