Internet Protocol version 0: the end of the IP Address

The world is running out of IP addresses and the Internet Protocol Version 6, which is not even close to be adopted worldwide, only provides a temporary workaround to this problem: while it may seem to have a large number of IP addresses, its address space is too small to even assign an IP address to every atom in the Universe; in fact, it is not even enough to assign IP addresses to the cat fur on the speaker's carpet.

This talk explains a way to solve the problem once and for all; we call it Internet Protocol version 0, "a new start". For best results, it is recommended that beer consumption commences before the talk.

Slides from the talk are available at ipzero.org; more information will also appear there at some future point
