Implementing RFC 4824 by Claudio Calvelli at the EdLUG, 1 April 2010.

With live demos, time permitting (if not, more live demos may happen in the pub afterwards).

The talk will explain what the Linux tun/tap (tunnel) device is and what you can use it for. The device is not limited to VPNs or other tunnels: as an example, I'll show how to use the tun device to implement a link layer protocol dealing with transmission of IPv4 and IPv6 over new network hardware.

10 Linux Security Tools For Defending & Securing Your Network by Robert McLay

This is a follow on from Robert's talk in September 2009 on malware although it is also stand alone for those who weren't there. It will cover tools such as Metasploit and NMap as well as a few regular tools used in an unusual way.

Time permitting there will be a live demo showing what can happen if you don't audit your network.
