Roasting your filesystems for fun and profit by Claudio Calvelli at the EdLUG, 4 March 2010.

The real title of this talk would be something along the lines of What you can do after a colleague has roasted the filesystem containing all your work (apart from grievous bodily harm or equivalent) - however this isn't as catchy.

The talk will concentrate on what you should know before problems happen, so you know what to do when they do happen.

There will be a live demo causing damage to filesystems and then repairing them.

The same methods can be used to recover from hardware failures, however for practical reasons the live demo will not involve much physical action against disks.

This is a not-quite-repeat of the ScotLUG talk by the same title.
